Morocco, Better Late Than Never

I went to Morocco last September as part of a guided tour with Access Trips, and absolutely loved our guides and the window they gave us into Morocco.  Below are a handful of photographs I took on the trip.

On the road to Essaouira.

Assouss Argan CooperativeI probably bought more argan products here than I needed.  Okay, I definitely did.  But the women breaking the argan shells and grinding the nuts with mortars and pestles worked so hard, were so kind, and even let us try for ourselves.  It was hard not to indulge.

Village of Anrar in the Ourika Valley, Atlas Mountains.  We stayed at Riad Kasbah Omar.  The rooms were beautiful, the people hospitable, warm, and welcoming.  The Riad has an open air kitchen where we learned to make a variety of traditional Moroccan dishes.  A definite place to stay if you are in the Ourika Valley.
